Final table heats up at World Series circuit event in Tunica

The cards are flying at the final table of the World Series of Poker Circuit at the Grand Casino in Tunica, Miss., as nine players compete for a Main Event seat, cash and alpha-dog status.

The remaining competitors waded through a pool of 377 entrants to claim their chairs at the tournament's final table. At stake is a share of the $1.8 million in prize money and a seat at the World Series of Poker Main Event.

Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi - shouldering star power status for the entire table - began the day with an average stack but moved to the top of the heap as players Elvin Simpson and Andy Chang were eliminated.

Chip counts and seating arrangements to start the day were as follows:
