Faraz "The-Toilet 0" Jaka Drains Field for SCOOP Title
Already one of the most accomplished poker players in the world with close to $6 million in career earnings, Faraz Jaka doesn’t have much left to prove in tournament poker.
But, as the rich tend to get richer, Jaka can now add a PokerStars SCOOP title to his resume as he took down an extremely tough field to win Event #33-H, $2,100 No-Limit Hold’em (1R+ 1A), yesterday.
Prize Pool Fattened, Final Table Tough
With one rebuy and one add-on allowed per player, Event #33 drew a solid 175 runners but the prize pool ballooned to a massive $808,000 with 120 re-buys and 109 add-ons.
As expected, dozens of top pros were involved including Team PokerStars pros Viktor "Isildur1" Blom, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Johnny Lodden, Eugene Katchalov and 2012 Player of the Series lock Shaun Deeb.
For a while it looked like Deeb might make an unprecedented run at a fourth title but he ultimately dropped out in 12th, well into the money but just short of the final table.
That didn’t make the final table much easier for Jaka, though, as Randall “RandALLin” Flowers, Rory “Mafews” Matthews and PokerStars pro Max Lykov were all still around.
None could match Jaka, however, as he took the fourth-largest chip stack and ran it up all the way to the title and a $173,729 payout.

Dan “djk123” Kelly Narrowly Misses Title #2
With Shaun Deeb, Viktor Blom and a couple of other players notching multiple event wins, the bar has been set high for success this SCOOP.
Dan "djk123" Kelly can put himself in that successful group despite just narrowly missing out on a second title last night.
Winner of Event #29-M on Thursday, Kelly made another deep run in Event #34-H, the $5k Limit Hold'em Six-Max, but fell just short in third place.
With just 62 players the field was wall-to-wall pros including Ville Wahlbeck, ElkY and Andre Akkari but it was ultimately high-stakes veteran ibadbeatyou who took home the title and $93,000.
Kelly earned $46,500 for third and pro Bryn Kenney $31,000 for fourth.
