By Sarah Polson
If you're looking for a way to spend some of those dreary winter days, Titan Poker has a solution for you. Starting at the end of November and running for 10 days, the poker site will host the European Championship of Online Poker.
The ECOOP will offer $2.5 million in guaranteed prize money, and is set to be the biggest online event during the winter months. The biggest prize guarantee will be the $1 million main event, topping off the tournament series Dec. 9.
The tournament schedule is:
| Date/Time (GMT) | Event | Guarantee |
| Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. | $200+$15 No-Limit Hold'em | $150,000 |
| Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. | $100+$9 Omaha Hi-Lo R/A | $100,000 |
| Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. | $250+$18 No-Limit Hold'em | $250,000 |
| Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. | $100+$9 Pot-Limit Omaha R/A | $100,000 |
| Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. | $750+$50 No-Limit Hold'em | $200,000 |
| Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. | $200+$15 No-Limit Hold'em (6 player) | $150,000 |
| Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. | $200+$15 Limit Hold'em | $100,000 |
| Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. | $100+$9 No-Limit Hold'em R/A | $250,000 |
| Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. | $250+$18 Pot-Limit Omaha | $100,000 |
| Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. | $1,000+$60 No-Limit Hold'em | $1,000,000 |
Winners of each event will receive their cash prize as well as a special ECOOP bracelet, similar to those awarded at the World Series of Poker.
To make the tournament series an even better deal, the top 50 players of the entire event will be entered into a $50,000 freeroll taking place a day after the main event.
Buy-ins for the events run as low as $100+$9, but players can win their way in for even less with the ongoing sit-and-go tournaments and multi-table satellites. Buy-ins for these qualifying events are as low as $2+20¢.
The first qualifying period for the events has already begun, and the next one will start Sept. 10.
If you're anxious to get in on some big poker action now, Titan Poker is currently offering the Titan Poker World Challenge, where 50 players will compete for the top prize of a Porsche Cayman S sports car or a share of a $50,000 prize pool.
There are also plenty of super-satellites to major live events such as the Aussie Millions, the World Series of Poker Europe and more.
