Everest Poker sends 'FBI' to WPT event

One French poker player will have a holiday season to remember as he heads to Las Vegas courtesy of Everest Poker for the World Poker Tour (WPT) Five Diamond World Poker Classic. The tournament will take place Dec. 14-19 at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.

The player, whose game name is FBI, won the prize package for the WPT event online at Everest Poker where there are dozens of online poker tournaments each week for players.

"Our players can compete for large cash prizes and get the chance to play at World Poker Tour and European Poker Tour events," said Jonathan May, Everest Poker property manager.

The site has been sending players to WPT events since the 2005 Grand Prix de Paris. There are also plenty of opportunities left for players to win their way into other WPT or EPT events at Everest Poker.

May commented that the site hopes FBI will do well in the upcoming Five Diamond World Poker Classic.

"Last year the final table's players included such greats as Doyle Brunson, Phil Laak and Patrik Antonious," he said. "We'd love to see this player get that far."
