Everest Poker promotes live poker events

A live satellite event is scheduled for Amsterdam on Sunday at 5 p.m. (GMT) for players to win their way into the Everest Poker European Cup. Everest Poker also announced this week it is sponsoring more live events after signing a deal with the BLAPO London Amateur Poker Organization.

The Amsterdam satellite kicks off the live satellites available in several countries in Europe where players can win their way to the European Cup.

"After this, we'll have more live events across the continent, and more players will get their shot at €100,000," said Johnathan May, Everest Poker property manager.

Last year the EPEC brought together 100 players who competed for the €50,000 prize pool. This year, 200 players will compete for €100,000.

The live final will take place in August. Online qualifiers are also ongoing on Friday evenings at 7 p.m. (GMT).

The online poker room will also be sponsoring Texas Hold'em events in the London area as a sponsor of the BLAPO London amateur Poker Organization.

BLAPO runs six live poker events across London during the week which are free for all interested players.

"Poker's growing very rapidly in the U.K.," May said. "We wanted to work with BLAPO to foster a grassroots movement and give players the chance to compete for real money."

BLAPO members can play in a BLAPO Members and Friends $200 online freeroll at the poker site every Sunday at 8 p.m. (GMT).

"It takes just a few moments to set up an account with Everest Poker and the variety of games we offer gives even beginners the chance to compete fairly," May said.

"That's why we're very enthusiastic about working with BLAPO - their poker evenings give new players time to learn about the game with no risk."

According to Everest Poker, the BLAPO sponsorship events will run for the next several months.
