Everest Poker European Cup heads to Algarve
Everest Poker has announced the location for the final event of its €100,000 European Cup, and it's likely to be a pleaser: Southern Portugal's infamous Algarve.
"This year's final event will be held in one of Europe's most prestigious holiday destinations," announced Everest Poker property manager Jonathan May. "The Algarve in Southern Portugal."
"The casino is only 25km from Faro International Airport, and we've booked hotels right next to it for all the finalists. It's going to be a spectacular weekend that's sure to be one of the most talked-about poker events of this year!"
Open to all European poker players, the Everest Poker European Cup is a series of live and online qualification tournaments held across the continent, culminating in the €100,000 freeroll finale in Portugal October 19-21, 2007.
Two hundred players from eligible European countries will win a spot in the finale through free online and live qualifications from May to August, with Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Austria and Portugal all host countries for live events.
Online qualifiers also run for each country on Fridays at 7 p.m. (GMT), leading to monthly finals where players can win €1,100 prize packages that include a seat in the European Cup, three nights hotel and €300 credited to their Everest Poker account for travel expenses.
A complete schedule of tournaments and the full details for qualifying can be found at Everest Poker.
