Canadian pro Evelyn Ng, 29, was last week announced as the newest member of Team Bodog, a group of top players sponsored by online poker room, Bodog.com. A former poker and blackjack dealer from Toronto, Ng is widely regarded as one of the top female players on the professional circuit. She joins fellow pros David Williams and Josh Arieh on Team Bodog.
As a Team Bodog member, Ng will play online at the Bodog.com poker tables and at Bodog events around the world. She will also compete at the 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event as a Bodog.com player.
Ng made her debut on the international poker scene when she finished second at the inaugural 2003 World Poker Tour (WPT) Ladies Night event. Her latest win took place at the WPT Borgata Poker Open where she landed 11th place and $65,000. Ng also participated in the reality series "Calvin Ayre Wild Card Poker," which is scheduled to air on FSN beginning on April 15.
"I am very excited to be joining my good friends David Williams and Josh Arieh at Bodog.com. Calvin Ayre and everyone with Bodog.com have made me feel very welcome. I am positive that the Bodog lifestyle will suit me very well, and I look forward to being a representative for them," Ng said.
"It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Evelyn to our team," says Calvin Ayre, founder and CEO of Bodog.com. "Evelyn lives and breaths the Bodog lifestyle, and I can't think of a better fit for our poker team."
