ESPN to air WSOP final table tonight
By Sarah Polson
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event final table will air on ESPN tonight at 9 p.m. EDT. Aside from the live pay-per-view of the event, this will be the first time those who weren't at the event will get to see via television how the final table played out.
This year's winner was Jamie Gold, who earned himself $12 million after outlasting more than 8,700 people to become champion and win a coveted WSOP championship bracelet. Tonight poker fans will be able to watch how he battled his way into the final table starting at 8 p.m. EDT, and then watch the final table starting at 9 p.m.
The final table players along with Gold were Michael Binger, Rhett Butler, Allen Cunningham, Erik Friberg, Doug Kim, Richard Lee, Dan Nassif, and Paul Wasicka. Each of them took home at least $1.5 million.
Starting Oct. 3 with the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Hold'em events, ESPN will also be broadcasting some of the other WSOP events. The network will air two events each Tuesday through Oct. 31.
