ESPN Poker Club mobile game to be released this month

By: Christopher Hunt

Ever find yourself stuck, caught somewhere in the dreaded dead-zone between your online game and a live casino table, with no poker to speak of at your immediate disposal, possibly for the next several hours? Capcom Mobile is providing a solution to that problem with its new mobile poker game.

Capcom Mobile, the company that recently put out cell phone versions of arcade classics like "Street Fighter II," "Ghosts 'N Goblins" and "1942," is set to release "ESPN Poker Club," a multi-player capable mobile Texas Hold'em game.

The new game brings with it a host of options for the mobile poker platform: customized avatars, ring games, tournaments, No-Limit or Pot-Limit, career, multi-player and one-on-one modes, and live or simulated opponents. With more than 15,000 real poker simulations worked in to the equation, it claims to offer a "realistic gaming experience" and "a serious challenge" for poker players of all levels.

Or, more importantly, the opportunity to play real players in real time over the phone whenever you're away from your usual tables.
