Erick Lindgren Seizes $87k
Not known for his online cash game skills, Erick Lindgren put in an impressive performance on the high stakes tables last night.
Lindgren played 428 hands of 6-Max $300/$600 PLO and smashed his way to an $87k profit.
Primarily known as a live tournament player, Lindgren has been known to dip his feet in some of the high stakes games online.
Last night Lindgren had his hands full against online regulars Hac “trex313” Dang, cadillac1944, NoParasan, LokoIsBack and even Chau “La Key U” Giang.
Lindgren, who has only played 39 sessions this year, looked surprisingly comfortable in the game and made the most of anyone at the table.
One of the winningest tournament players of all time, Lindgren has historically struggled online.
He lost $337k online last year and even more in 2009 and 2008. With $7.5 million in tournament winnings, it’s likely not a huge concern for the California-native.
After last night’s session Lindgren was up to $90k in profit this year and is no doubt hoping to record his first winning year in online poker since 2006.
Outside of Lindgren’s performance it was a relatively slow night for high stakes action last night.
Established online pro bixiu was technically the biggest winner taking down $116k on Full Tilt.
Seb86 (+$60k), trex313 (+$55k) and Science (+$49k) were also amongst the biggest winners on the night.
Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky took some serious damage losing $183k while Bttech86 (-$130k) and FinnishNightmare (-$55k) also recorded considerable losses.
Interestingly Phil Ivey lost $54k in a short 102-hand session last night. It was a rare loss for the Team Full Tilt pro who is still up $1.2 million this year.
