Erick Lindgren beats Full Tilt players at Pro Showdown

Poker pro Erick Lindgren defeated six of his fellow Team Full Tilters at the Pro Showdown at Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas June 22, claiming the $600,000 first place prize following four hours of intense live play.

After knocking out Clonie Gowen in third place, Lindgren defeated Mike Matusow in the first hand, leaving Matusow to collect his $280,000 second place prize. Clonie Gowen received $120,000.

The $120,000 buy-in invitational event was broadcast live on Fox Sports Network (FSN), and featured a group of Team Full Tilt members. Competitors included Lindgren, Matusow, Gowen, Phil Ivey, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, John Juanda, and Erik Seidel. Fellow Team Full Tilter, Howard Lederer, served as co-commentator of the event.

"It was a privilege to be able to call the action live as these great pros all brought their 'A' games to the table," said Lederer. "Erick Lindgren played beautifully and is a deserving champion."

Thursday's tournament at the Red Rock Casino was the latest in a string of live televised poker tournaments created by Full Tilt Poker. Past events include the Championship at Wynn Las Vegas and the Invitational Live from Monaco.
