The European Poker Tour is going to be making an appearance in San Remo, Italy, tournament organizers announced in a press conference in Barcelona yesterday.

After adding stops in Warsaw, Prague and the Caribbean the EPT, which is sponsored by PokerStars, has raised the number of events on the circuit to 12.

John Duthie, head of the EPT, also mentioned during the press conference it would likely be the last event added unless something really spectacular came up.

The EPT, which is now in its fourth season, is Europe's richest and most popular poker tour. Season 3 saw sell-out €5,000 tournaments in Barcelona, London, Warsaw, Dortmund and Copenhagen. The season's showcase event - the Grand Finale in Monte Carlo - attracted 706 to yield a combined prize pool of €6.6 million, making it the richest tournament held outside of Las Vegas. Gavin Griffin eventually won the tournament to take home €1,825,010.
