Epic Poker League Debuts on CBS Tomorrow

Chino Rheem.

The first event of Season One of the Epic Poker League is set to premiere on CBS tomorrow at 1 pm ET.

The show will feature action from the first Epic main event that played out at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas in August.

Chino Rheem was the eventual winner, taking home a $1 million first-place prize by defeating Erik Seidel heads-up for the title.

Rheem immediately was forced to use the entire payout to pay his backers and several old debts within the poker community.

Shortly thereafter he was placed on probation by the EPL Standards and Conduct Committee and his continued participation in the league is contingent on him repaying even more outstanding debts.

The 18 players who finished in the money in the first Main Event have over $80 million in career live tournament earnings and are a wide cross-section from the 253 elite players eligible to play in the EPL based on their results over the last three years.

Rankings are based on the newly developed and updated every week.

Jason Mercier currently leads the Index followed by Seidel, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov and Sorel Mizzi.

Check local listings for broadcast times in your time zone.

For those with a cable package that includes the new Velocity network, fans can catch the premiere tonight at 10 PM ET instead.
