Epic Adds Three Open Events to December Lineup
The Epic Poker League has announced three new open-field, low buy-in events to go along with its upcoming $20k invite-only Mix-Max Event.
Along with the already scheduled $1,500 Pro-Am, which offers nine $20k seats for the main event, that makes for four events at the Palms over the week of Dec. 10-17 now open to all players.
New events added to the schedule:
- $2,000 No-Limit Holdem Nine-Handed Turbo - Dec. 13th at 2 pm.
- $3,000 No-Limit HoldâÂÂem Six-Max â Dec 16th/17th â Two-Day Event
- $1,000 No-Limit HoldâÂÂem Nine-Handed Turbo â Dec. 17th
The two turbo events are both single-day events with 20-minute levels. The Six-Max event is a full, two-day structure with 15,000 in starting chips and 60-minute levels.
A $240+$100 rebuys No-Limit Holdem Charity Event for preventcancer.org is also scheduled for December 12th at 7 p.m.
The upcoming $20k invite-only Mix-Max event is the third Epic Poker League event in its inaugural season.
Only the top 300 players in the world based on the new are eligible to play in the EPL main events.
Erik Seidel, Bertrand Grospellier, Jason Mercier, Eugene Katchalov and Shawn Buchanan are currently the top five players according to the Index, which tracks and ranks tournament results from the previous two years.
Chino Rheem won the inaugural Six-Max EPL event back in August and took home the $1 million first-place prize.
He was subsequently put on probation by the EPL ethics committee for unpaid debts within the poker community.
Mike âÂÂTimexâ McDonald won the second 8-Max EPL event in September and took home $782,410.
