End is nigh for Flemish Poker Challenge
By Erin Warner
The Flemish Poker Challenge has been trucking for nearly two months and the Texas Hold'em tournament is now drawing to a close with the final event scheduled for May 12-13.
The tournament has been held the past six Sundays and will feature a final qualifying round May 6 at the Ostend Casino in Belgium.
The buy-in for the qualification rounds is priced at €65, with a player cap of 81. For every 10 players, one person makes it to the final event next week.
The two-day final will host the previous seven weeks' winners, as well as players who forked over the €500 direct buy-in to the tournament. If there is a shortage of available places, the qualification players will take priority over those who bought in directly.
The prize pool for the Flemish Poker Challenge is a guaranteed €25,000.
Players can sign up for the event at the casino up to an hour prior to the tournament or go online at www.cko.be.
