The famous Tuschinski theatre in Amsterdam became a prestigious casino for one night earlier this month, as online poker room Everest Poker took over for the Dutch premiere of the new James Bond movie, "Casino Royale."

The movie has a prominent Texas Hold'em scene, with Bond taking on the villain Le Chiffre in a high-stakes game of Hold'em in place of his usual game, baccarat.

Everest Poker, the event sponsor and well-known online poker school, capitalized on the opportunity to play up the poker angle and introduce a few Dutch celebrities to the game at the red-carpet premiere.

With four poker tables and professional Everest Poker dealers, including Dutch poker champion Steven ten Cate, the event tried to capture "the live poker experience" for some of the most prominent personalities in the Netherlands.

Among the reportedly enthusiastic attendees were movie critic Rene Mioch, television personalities Renate Verbaan, Winston Gerschtanowitz and Christine van der Horst, and renowned Dutch architect Jan de Bouvrie.
