durrrr Challenge: The 2,000 hand session

By: Arthur Crowson

Railbirds around the world got the durrrr Challenge session they had been waiting for last night.

Elite poker players Patrik Antonius and Tom "durrrr" Dwan settled into their desk chairs and played an epic 2,043 hand session over the span of eight hours.

Although it's doubtful either of these players would be listening to the hundreds of poker fans that were clamoring for more action, one has to wonder if Dwan heard this audio interview with Antonius and decided it was time for a monster session.

The biggest hand of the night saw Dwan flop two-pair jacks and sevens and shove, but Antonius wasn't willing to give up on his T T K K in the hole. In the end, it worked out for the Finn as the board paired and he raked a $154,984 pot.

Dwan got some degree of revenge on Antonius later in a house-over-house debacle.

Dwan showed that his poker degeneracy knows no limits once again as he was playing seven tables at one point, four with Antonius, two against Gus Hansen and one against LuckExpress.

By the time they decided to call it quits Antonius had built up an $80,707 overall lead on Dwan in the challenge, meaning Antonius took Dwan for a total of $110,000 in session 12.
