durrrr Challenge: Dwan erases Antonius' lead

By: Arthur Crowson

It only took one day for Tom "durrrr" Dwan to regain control of the durrrr Challenge.

Dwan and Patrik Antonius played session 8 yesterday, with a scant 411 hands played, but that was just enough time for Dwan to dig himself out of the hole he had dug the day before.

Dwan blitzed Antonius for a total of $123,849, showing an overall profit of $15,238 after approximately 80 minutes of play.

In the biggest hand of the session Dwan flopped a full house and ended up stacking Antonius for a pot worth $81,183.

The session ended with durrrr timing out at a couple tables before finally typing this in the Full Tilt chatbox:

"durrrr: I need a nap
durrrr: Falling asleep @ comp"

There was some talk of durrrr returning for more action after a few hours sleep but apparently that didn't work out because as of 12 p.m. ET Monday he hasn't logged back on.

So, after 5,929 hands, the players are essentially right back where they started, with Dwan holding a slim lead. It's likely way too early to tell, but neither player has demonstrated a considerable edge thus far.

You could argue that Dwan has held the lead for the majority of the challenge, but Antonius always seems to clip him before he flies too high.
