durrrr Challenge: Antonius looking good

By: Arthur Crowson

After months of back and forth action, it appears that Patrik Antonius is starting to gain some momentum in the durrrr Challenge.

Last night Antonius won his second straight session and although he's only up $80,544, it's been a while since Tom Dwan held a lead.

Antonius and Dwan played for a scant 165 hands last night, but Antonius was able to make the most of it by scooping at least one $139,000 pot.

The two got it all-in on a flop of K T 4 with Dwan holding two-pair to Antonius' straight draw. Antonius hit his straight on the turn and Dwan missed his full-house outs on the river.

Dwan was lucky to win a couple $40,000 pots shortly after the $139,000 hand to help stem his losses.

In other high-stakes news, Antonius' winning ways are apparently not exclusive to the durrrr Challenge. The talented Finn added another $500,000 to his 2009 profits with big wins against countrymen Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies and Sami "LarzLuzak" Kelopuro.

Antonius is rumored to be up approximately $4 million in 2009, so regardless of how the durrrr Challenge ends, it could end up being a very good year for him.
