durrrr and Antonius warm up with $200k pot

By: Sean Lind

With the durrrr challenge looming, every online poker fan is wondering the same thing: When will the first hand be dealt?

In the chatter among the pros involved with the challenge, the rumor is Phil Ivey told Patrik Antonius he can have the first opportunity to take on Tom "durrrr" Dwan for the 50,000-hand heads-up epic.

No word yet on when this will start, but poker fans all hope the answer is soon.

Perhaps in preparation for the challenge, durrrr and Antonius have been playing some heads-up $500/$1,000 No-Limit Hold'em.

This $180,000 pot is one more step toward durrrr digging himself out of his $3.3 million hole.

With durrrr the No. 1 winner in Hold'em for the year, it wouldn't be surprising to see him playing more hands of Hold'em over the coming months, hoping his Hold'em profit will overtake his PLO losses.

If PLO action is more your style, there have been multiple pots over $100k today on Full Tilt won and lost by some of the world's biggest names in online poker. Phil Ivey took down the second-largest pot of the day, while Gus Hansen lost both the third- and fourth-largest pots to Urindanger.

The good news for Hansen fans is that the fifth-largest pot of the day was won by him over Urindanger, almost knocking off 50% of his total large-pot losses of the day.
