DoylesRoom picks up Shannon Elizabeth

Shannon Elizabeth

After thousands of guys across the world have tried and failed, the world-famous Hollywood starlet and pinup girl finally got picked up by Doyle Brunson.

Shannon Elizabeth has worn the DoylesRoom logo at poker events in the past, as well as the brand of several other poker sites during various events over the last few years. Now she has finally settled down again with the DoylesRoom crew.

Best known for her roles in crude teen comedy blockbusters such as American Pie (all of them), Scary Movie and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Elizabeth has spent the last few years making herself known off the screen and on the felt.

Unlike most professional poker players, or players who play on the professional circuit, Elizabeth got into the game by playing at charity events, where at some point she caught the infamous poker bug.

Having cashed in seven major poker events since 2006, including a semifinal finish at the 2007 NBC Heads-Up Championships, Elizabeth has begun to prove that she's more than just another movie star who likes to dabble in the game.

She joins a list of well-known pros and other celebrities at DoylesRoom. Pamela Anderson, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Nicky Hilton and Kevin Connolly are all members of Doyle's team as well.

Some of the pros DoylesRoom has recruited include Mike Caro, Cyndy Violette, Hoyt Corkins, T.J. Cloutier, Eli Elezra, Dewey Tomko, Barry Greenstein, Minh Ly and Billy Baxter.

"Comprised of a potent mix of both acclaimed poker pros and card savvy celebrities, Team Brunson is always equipped to make a splash at the hottest live, online, and televised poker events. The addition of Shannon Elizabeth will sexily raise the stakes even higher," said Doyles Room in a press release.

With her new affiliation in tow, expect to see Shannon taking a run at many of this year's 2008 WSOP events, including the prestigious Main Event.

Poker fans, or even just fans of Elizabeth, could join her at the poker tables by winning a seat in the 2008 World Series of Poker as well. DoylesRoom offers ways for as little as $9+$1 for players to win a $13,000 prize package to play in the Main Event.

The prize package includes the $10,000 buy-in for the 2008 WSOP Main Event plus $3,000 for travel and other expenses.
