Doulas12 triumphant in PokerStars Sunday Million

Say what you want about the global economy, it doesn't seem to be slowing down the market for online poker as PokerStars continues to draw tens of thousands of players to its site every Sunday.

This week just under 7,500 players got their poker on in the Sunday Million while another 3,645 went for gold in the Sunday Warm-Up.

In the Sunday Million doulas12 managed to fight from the short stack to victory, even putting the nix on a deal that could have happened with five players remaining. Eventually doulas12 made it to heads-up against Crackpfeiffe and went on to take it down for $125,478, taking into account another deal that was reached in the later stages of the tournament.

As for the Sunday Warm-Up, it was all about online player Djelly, who dominated the final table, eventually taking a huge chip lead into heads-up play against TribunCaesar. After a dozen hands of play Djelly's enormous stack proved an insurmountable obstacle for TribunCaesar.

TribunCaesar got it all-in with J♠ 7♠ and Djelly made the easy call with A♠ T♣. Dejelly hit a ten on the turn and that was enough to secure the $101,250 for first place.

Meanwhile the Sunday 500 ($500 buy-in for a $500,000 guarantee) managed to garner the attention of over 1,000 players, although it was Norwegian Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad who drew the most attention as she made the final table and attempted to add yet another huge online tournament victory to her resume.

Unfortunately for the pride of Sandnes, Rogaland, she was finally ousted in fifth place, but she did take down an impressive $37,687 for her MTT heroics.
