Double Fedor: Holz Makes Aussie Millions Main Event Final Table
Making one prestigious final table at the 2017 Aussie Millions just wasn’t enough for German wunderkind Fedor Holz.
After locking up a spot in the $100,000 Challenge earlier in the week, Holz went on to grab a seat in the $10,000 Main Event today.
Holz will have a little more work cut out for him in the Main Event as he’s short stacked with 1.1 million chips. Meanwhile he’s one of big stacks in the $100k buy-in, which is set to play out on Sunday.
If Holz somehow manages to win both events he’d take home a staggering AUD$2.4 million.
Rossiter, Heath Hunt $1,600,000 Prize
Holz isn’t the only story at the 2017 Aussie Millions final table with local pro Jeff Rossiter looking to keep the title in Melbourne.
Rossiter is in the middle of the pack with 3.1m chips but has a ton of experience in high roller events. Interestingly Rossiter has already made the Aussie Millions final table back in 2011 when he finished third.
The U.K.’s Ben Heath is coming off a big win in the PCB $15,000 high roller and will look to add to that result with a strong showing at the Aussie Millions final table. He’s also one of the middle stacks with 3.2 million.
Everyone is chasing Australian Shurane Vijayaram who finished with 7.4 million and will certainly have enough time to pick his spots.
Holz will be busy over the next couple days as the $100k Challenge final table will play out tomorrow at 2:10 p.m. local time while the Main Event final table begins at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
In addition the massive $250,000 buy-in single-day tournament kicks off at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday but you have to think Holz will skip that one.
Holz has already made four high-roller final tables since he decided to semi-retire after winning the WSOP Big One for One Drop for $4.9m this summer.
Here’s a complete look at the final-table stacks:
1. Shurane Vijayaram - 7,470,000
2. Ben Heath - 3,270,000
3. Jeff Rossiter - 3,105,000
4. Tobias Hausen - 2,955,000
5. David Olson - 2,350,000
6. Luke Roberts - 1,305,000
7. Fedor Holz - 1,165,000
