Doors open for Gaming Life Expo

Meet Susie Isaacs and check out her new books and jewelry at this year's Gaming Life Expo.
By Sarah Polson
Poker is more than just a card game; it's now a whole lifestyle. Exemplifying that is the Gaming Life Expo which opens its doors today at the Rio the day before the World Series of Poker Main Event also kicks off.
In the past, the Expo has focused mainly on the game itself with many online poker sites setting up booths and promoting their sites. This year there are more than 100 booths set up to cover many different aspects of the poker lifestyle instead.
There are several notable organization and businesses that will be set up at the Expo this year.
A new and significant addition to the roster this year is the World Poker Tour, which will bring in poker stars such as Gavin Smith, Vanessa Rousso, Antonio Esfandiari and more to man the booth as well as provide information about the WPT Season 6 tour.
Several other tours and poker leagues will be on exhibit as well, including CEO Poker, National League of Poker, Ultimate Blackjack Tour and the World Poker Store, which runs the Bar Poker League.
From poker tables to chips, dealer buttons and drinks, there are vendors hawking their products as well. Anything you need to set up your own poker game can be found with vendors like the Original Poker Chip Customizer, Ultimate Dealer Button, Diamond Tables of Las Vegas, United States Playing Card Co. and more.
Perhaps poker clothing is what you're looking for. While the World Series of Poker gift shop has a wide variety of Series related gear, you could also check out All In Clothing, Horse Apparel and the Queen of Hearts Clothing Line.
To go with your new poker duds, check out Susie Isaac's booth where she'll be showcasing her personally designed jewelry line along with her latest poker books.
Her book Queens Can Beat Kings: Broad-Minded Poker for Winning Women, was released in June, and the Expo will be a great opportunity to get your copy signed.
"We'll also be taking pre-orders for my upcoming novel, White Knight, Black Nights, Poker is Skill, Life is the Gamble," Isaacs says in her blog.
"This is fiction based on fact and I must tell you, it is a great read. There was a time that I didn't think I could live another day (fact), and then through a turn of events, poker saved my life (fact)."
This isn't even the half of what will be available for poker fans to peruse through in the Rio Pavilion today through July 8 while they're taking a break from the Main Event mania going on in the Amazon Room. Go in and check it out for yourself.
