Denmark native wins SDPT Elsinore event

Henrik Witt, from Bornholm, Denmark, was the winner of the Showdown Poker Tour (SDPT) event in Elsinore, Denmark, Sunday taking home €69,120. Poker pro Rehne Pederson also competed in the event but went out in fourth place.

Witt beat out a field of 36 players to take home the top prize of the tournament hosted at the Casino Marienlyst.

This win is his third major tournament cash this year. In June he came in fourth at the World Poker Tour Season 5 Grand Prix de Paris winning €168,750. He also came in 15th during the $10,000 Limit Texas Hold'em event of the PartyPoker.com Million V, winning $28,500.

The next SDPT event is scheduled for Nov. 27-30 at the Casino Esplanade in Hamburg, Germany. This will be the biggest event of the SDPT with a €10,000 + €500 buy-in and room for up to 300 players.
