The conference is sponsored by Ticonderoga Ventures Inc. with the purpose of discussing the business of poker focusing on management, marketing and technology issues. Last year some of the biggest names in the business such as Mike Caro and Doyle Brunson attended, and several poker room and online poker executives are expected to attend this year.
This 2006 expo intends to focus on market opportunities, legal interpretations of new legislation in the United States, and payment alternatives that exist for the poker market.
Speaking at the event will be Michael Bolcerek, Poker Players Alliance president; N.D. State Representative James Kasper, who has tried to legalize online poker in North Dakota in the past; Professor Joseph Kelly, an attorney and law professor at the State University of New York; and Attorney Peter McGreevey.
There will also be speakers from other companies, organizations and poker rooms.
The executives and professional players that attend the expo are also invited to participate in a Texas Hold'em tournament. The winner will receive a percentage of the prize pool depending on how many people participate, and bragging rights as the top player in the poker industry.
