The second day of the 2008 World Series of Poker has come and gone, but not without bringing poker fans some spectacular action as Event 1 reached its final table and Event 2 attracted enough players to be on track to set a new WSOP record.
This was the first time a $10,000 Pot-Limit T.J. Cloutier and others in the mix.
Batista was an early bust in the event, and other pros who fell early included Greg Mueller, Billy Baxter, Ivey, Jean-Robert Bellande and more.
A few of the notables who did survive Day 1a to return on Monday to play are Shane "Shaniac" Schleger, Todd Brunson and Gavin Griffin.
Day 1b of Event 2 begins today at noon, and you can bet PokerListings will be on the scene to tell you all about who's in and who's out as the cards start hitting the felt.
