Event 2 at the 2008 WSOP, $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em, is on track to set a whole series of records with 3,462 entrants registered. Since there are two Day 1's, the final number should be much larger.

As things stand now, no WSOP event, other than previous Main Events, will have a higher player count than this one. The Amazon Room is filled to the brim with players, amateur and professional, young and old, male and female.

Some Day 1 pros spotted already include Gavin Griffin and T.J. Cloutier, along with Europe's Johannes Strassman, Praz Bansi and Steve-Paul Ambrose.

We've also seen Phil Ivey, Ted Forrest, Jeff Madsen, Freddy Deeb, Matt Stout, Amanda Baker, Miami John Cernuto, David Sklansky, Noah Shwartz, Theo Tran, David Grey, Eric Froehlich, Chad Batista, Todd Brunson, Steve Wong, Hoyt Corkins, Chad Brown, Greg Raymer, Vanessa Rousso and Sabyl Cohen in the mix.

Early Bustications

Chad Batista has been eliminated after shoving with a gut-shot and getting called. "I donked it all off," he said. Frank Kassela had the misfortune of being all-in with A-K versus Q-Q and A-A. There were no surprises and Kasela was eliminated.

The $10,000 World Championship Pot-Limit Day 2 is set to begin in 10 minutes. Keep your eye on our Live Updates section for all the action as it happens.
