Daniel Negreanu: 2015 WSOP November Nine Bio

Daniel Negreanu 2015 WSOP Main Event Day 7 2

How do you begin to sum up the career of a poker legend like Daniel Negreanu?

Already poker’s all-time leading money winner with over $30m (!) in live earnings there isn’t much left for Negreanu to accomplish in poker that he hasn’t already.

Except maybe make the Main Event final table. And/or become poker’s world champion.

Negreanu has won almost everything you can in poker although success in the WSOP Main Event (in Las Vegas at least) has more or less eluded him (He did, however, win the WSOP APAC Main Event back in 2013).

Negreanu's deepest Main Event run came back in 2001 when he finished 11th out of 631 runners for $63,940 – a far cry from the $7.6 million sitting at the top for this year’s winner.

Surprisingly, though, it still wouldn’t be Negreanu’s biggest lifetime cash. That would be the $8.2m he won for his runner-up finish in the 2014 Big One for One Drop.

PokerStars pro, leading ambassador for the game, kind hearted and generous benefactor to the game’s young stars … Negreanu is quite simply the biggest cog in the game’s success these days and it’s only fitting he be a part of the greatest stage it has to offer.

Fighting from the short stack for much of Day 7 Negreanu will enter the final table in November in the same vicinity.
