With more than $500,000 in total cash added to the prize pools of the Ladbrokes European Online Championship of Poker, plenty of players were willing to come out to enjoy some poker at the site. In all, 4,360 player partook in the tournament action at Ladbrokes Poker for the series, and the main event over the weekend drew more than 600 as well.

"We attracted a good field and the money added generated a record-breaking prize pool of gigantic proportions for the 600-plus runners, $918,000, which easily made it the best value online tournament for an age," said Edward Ihre, Ladbrokes Poker managing director.

The biggest beneficiary of that prize pool was hahila. The Danish player put up the $1,00+$100 buy-in and picked up a $230,000 win.

He bested a crowd of players that included former World Series of Poker bracelet winners, WSOP final tablists and final tablists in the World Series of Poker Europe.

"Ladbrokes Poker is really proving to be a lucky talisman for the Danes. At the same time 'hahila' was dominating the final table eventually winning $230,000 after over 14 hours of play, Peter Eastgate, who flew out to Las Vegas as part of Team Ladbrokes in July of this year was bossing the WSOP final table," Ihre said. "Both events have been great for Ladbrokes Poker this year."

hahila is a regular player at Ladbrokes Poker. He participated in a couple other tournaments in the LEOCOP IV series before the main event. According to Ladbrokes Poker, hahila performed brilliantly throughout the 14-hour tournament and maintained his chip lead for most of the final table.

The night before the tournament, hahila was on Ladbrokes Poker playing some heads-up. Turns out it was good practice for when he got down to facing Benno26 in heads-up play in the main event.

Benno26 gave him a run for his money, taking the chip lead at one point, but ultimately it was hahila's night.

The final-table results of the main event were:

The win boosted hahila to second on the LEOCOP IV Leaderboard. He'll pocket an extra $3,000 for the achievement.

The LEOCOP Leaderboard was dominated by players who played and cashed in a number of festival events, with the top 23 playing in at least three of the 16 events. The top player on the leaderboard was james666. He played and cashed in seven events to take the top spot and an extra $4,000.

The top 80 players on the leaderboard, along with the winners of each LEOCOP IV event, will be invited to play in the Masters Event on Nov. 22.

The winner of that event will earn a seat in the semifinal of the Poker Million. That player will be guaranteed a minimum $20,000 payout for being in the semifinals, and will also have the chance to win a million-dollar first prize.

The LEOCOP IV may be wrapped for this year, but that doesn't mean there isn't still a lot for poker players to check out at the poker site. For more information on other promotions and offers from the poker site, visit Ladbrokes Poker.
