Today in the 3-Bet we find perennial World Series of Poker bracelet winner Matt Matros solving the WSOP for x, former champ Greg Merson laying out his jersey turnpike and a few true steals that'll help you out in any WSOP fantasy draft.
1) How to Play the WSOP
If anyone out there can claim to have the WSOP "solved," it's likely Yale-math-major-turned-poker-pro Matt Matros.
Owner of three WSOP bracelets Matros knows a thing or two about maximizing your chances of both a) winning a bracelet and b) making it through the summer with your bankroll/soul intact.
While Matros isn't heading to Vegas this year he did provide a few indispensible tips to the Washington Post on how to make the most of it.
If you're giving it a go yourself, take heed. An excerpt on the $10k Main Event:
“Yes, it’s a huge field. Yes, it’s insanely high variance, and yes no one who enters this tournament should reasonably expect to make money in it over the course of their lifetime.
"But we only get one lifetime, and if you want to be called The World Champion, you have to play this event. Besides, even for crusty veterans like me, the Main Event is still the most thrilling poker game around.”

2) Extra Baggage Fees for Greg Merson's Jerseys
Nothing would make us happier than to see Greg Merson win the 2014 WSOP Main Event in a John Wall jersey. (Well, maybe Phil Ivey winning the 2014 WSOP Main Event in a throwback Walt "Clyde" Frazier Knicks jersey).
He's got a few others to choose from, though:
3) Huck Seed for $1? Highway Robbery
The exclusive Daniel Negreanu-led $25k WSOP Fantasy Draft happened last night and, as usual, it was packed with high drama and intriguing picks.
Well, high-drama/intrigue if you have $25k at risk and care about the auction price Allen Kessler goes at.
Still, there were plenty of low-cost, high-value pick-ups to use as a helpful guide if you're building your own WSOP Fantasy team - like, say, for the PokerListings 2014 WSOP Fantasy Draft.
Greg "FBT" Mueller - who we'd put in the "steal" camp at any price as well given his amazing WSOP prep - starts things off with a few picks of his own.
More amazing poker bargains from the $25k draft below his tweet. If you can grab any of these guys on the cheap for your draft, have at them.
