Double-or-nothing?

The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet has made the mid-afternoon poker news playoffs for 10 years running and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

You can always contribute to the 3-Bet by firing suggestions in the comments section below.

In today’s Daily 3-Bet we’ll take a look at Dan “jungleman12” Cates crushing an elite MTT, a potential new bet for Dan Bilzerian and Bill Perkins and the fun-focused Poker Night in America.

1) Jungleman Wins Sunday 500

Dan Cates
Welcome to the jungle.

Dan “jungleman12” Cates may have whiffed on his first GPL heads-up match against ElkY but maybe he was just saving the run good for times when cash is actually on the line.

There were no pesky French pros in Cates way during the PokerStars Sunday 500 last night.

Cates plowed through the elite $500 buy-in tournament eventually defeating Felipe “Mojave” Ramos heads-up to win the tournament for $64,798.

Ramos, one of Cates’ opponents in the GPL, had to settle for $46,540.

High-stakes PLO reg Mikki696 finished sixth to win $14k at the rather star-studded final table.

Not a bad couple of weeks for Cates who entertained us all with his profanity-laced heads-up match against ElkY and then followed that up by winning some serious cash last night. Well played, sir.

2) Perkins, Bilzerian Ponder Double-or-Nothing Bet

Bill Perkins
Bill Perkins to walk across America?

Apparently Dan Bilzerian’s epic $600,000+ ride from Las Vegas to LA in less than 48 hours just wasn’t enough for action junkie/multi-millionaire Bill Perkins.

According to CardPlayer Magazine the pair are thinking of various double-or-nothing bets.

Some of the bets include walking coast-to-coast across America, rowing from England to America or climbing Mount Everest.

This time around it would be Perkins' turn to put his body on the line since Bilzerian completed the last challenge.

Perhaps the ultra-wealthy Bilzerian and Perkins are just trying to keep each other in really, really good shape. That’s nice, guys.

Got an idea for an epic/hilarious bet that could potentially cost someone millions of dollars? Feel free to fire at Perkins' Twitter account.

3) Bringing Back the Fun with Poker Night in America

There are a lot of questions these days about what can be done to stimulate the poker market and attract casual players/fans.

The Global Poker League and Poker Central have been first and foremost in their efforts to entertain poker fans with free content but don’t forget about Poker Night in America.

Poker Night in America has now aired over 50 episodes of original content with big-name poker celebs like Phil Hellmuth, Antonio Esfandiari and Jennifer Tilly.

The show is being featured on Inside Poker on Poker Central tonight if you want to learn a little more about why PNIA’s Todd Anderson believes it’s important to make poker fun.
