Today in the 3-Bet we find Mike Sexton saving Stu Ungar, the EPT Malta High Rollers get down to business and Dan Jones - aka the New Guy.

1) Mike, Stu & JC Penney

We mentioned yesterday our unbridled passion for Stu Ungar stories and we're sharing another one today - albeit not the most lighthearted one this time.

This one comes from the voice of the WPT and poker legend Mike Sexton. Near the end of Stu's life Mike was one of his few supporters, even paying for Ungar to live at the Gold Coast and lending him money when needed.

One of those times? When Stu's daughter needed back-to-school clothes and Ungar had become too ravaged by drugs to afford them himself.

Watch the short anecdote from Sexton below; watch the full documentary here.

2) €10k High Rollers Fire in Malta

The last-ever EPT Malta (and penultimate EPT event ever) is now officially underway at the spectacular Hilton Hotel Malta - a place we happen to be quite familiar with.

Now playing: Saving Charlie Carrel.

The 60+ events of EPT Malta are the start of an epic 3-week stretch of poker on the island that will see not only a new EPT and BoM Main Event winner but a Swedish Champion too.

Getting things started in Malta is the single re-entry €10k High Roller which is already on to Day 2 with only 15 of 60 entries left.

Among the players still standing include Davidi Kitai, Vladimir Troyanovksiy, Dario Sammartino, Anthony Zinno, Patrick Leonard and Charlie Carrel, although Carrel might be on his last few chips as we speak.

Winner will grab €174,600, which is a very nice start to a long stretch of poker on the Mediterranean. Follow the live updates on the PokerStars blog and tune in here for the EPT Malta live stream which begins with the €25k HR final table on Sunday.

3) The Perfect Game

It's hard to capture everything we love about the game of poker, its players and its daily hopes, dreams, trials and tribulations all in one go but this is good as it gets.

Kudos to Brad Willis and the PokerStars blog for this one. Take the time for the full 17 minutes if you can.
