The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a delightfully old school three-cylinder jalopy that somehow never fails to navigate through the mid-afternoon poker news world.
You can always leave suggestions for future 3-Bet pieces in the comments section below.
In today’s Daily 3-Bet we’ll take a look at Liliya Novikova joining PokerStars online, Sam Grafton with a new score and Justin Bieber and Daniel Negreanu facing off.
1) Russian Liliya “Liay5” Novikova Joins PokerStars
Liliya Novikova is just another one of your average beautiful young female Russian online grinders that specializes in 6-Max hyper-turbo Sit & Go’s and has achieved SuperNova status.
Wait a minute. There is no one in poker like that. At all.
That’s maybe part of the reason that PokerStars signed the aspiring young pro to Team PokerStars Online.
Novikova, who has a background as a professional video-game player, said in the PokerStars Blog that joining the online team was a dream come true.
With streaming sensation Jason Somerville on board and Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier’s history in pro Starcraft it really feels as if PokerStars is “gamifying” its pro roster, which probably isn’t a bad thing considering the multi-billion dollar video-game industry.
Noviknova also dabbles in live events so it wouldn’t be a complete surprise to see her at a few live tournaments in the near future.
2) Sam Grafton Scoops PartyPoker High Roller
Lost in the madness of the massive $9m PokerStars Sunday Million, Sam “TheSquid” Grafton swam away with the PartyPoker Sunday High Roller yesterday.
Grafton, who plays on PartyPoker as sammy_squid, outlasted 212 players to secure a nice little payday of $19,500.
With the victory Grafton moves to well over $3 million in lifetime online tournament earnings. The London native also has $443,534 in live tournament earnings.
The timing couldn’t have been better as Grafton is in the process of pulling off the underrated tournament hit & run move.

3) Justin Bieber vs. Daniel Negreanu
Who hails from Ontario, is 5’9, has tons of fans around the globe, loves hockey and is a millionaire many times over?
If you said Daniel Negreanu you’d be correct. Of course you’d also be correct if you said Justin Bieber.
Negreanu has a slight edge when it comes to the whole poker thing but there are a few similarities.
PokerStars Player Liaison Gary Gates even noticed they share the same fashion sense according to a recent Tweet. For our money Kid Poker's socks are far superior.
