Daily 3-Bet: Negreanu > Ivey, TCOOP Giveaway, 6 FPP PCA Dream

Daniel Negreanu
The fans have spoken, Phil.

The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a misclick satellite entry, a string of double-ups and one sweet plane ride to afternoon poker news paradise city.

Have something you'd like featured in a future 3-Bet? let us know in the comments.

Today in the 3-Bet we find Daniel Negreanu putting a surprising trouncing on Phil Ivey in the popularity game, $27 TCOOP tickets up for grabs and three poker players get to live out their PCA dreams.

1) Negreanu 43%; Ivey 20%

Phil Ivey
20%? Really?

We love Daniel Negreanu and Phil Ivey as much as the next guy (OK; maybe more), but our love is pretty evenly distributed.

On any given day we might lean more towards one than the other but it's really a pick'em between the two given how much each brings to the game.

It doesn't seem so hard to pick a favorite for Bluff Magazine readers, though.

Negreanu and Ivey were two of the five finalists for the "Favorite Male Player" category this year and, not surprisingly, were 1-2 in the voting.

What is surprising is the margin of victory for Negreanu - 43% to just 20% for Ivey.

Really? Did Ivey's up-and-down year online and in the courtroom hurt him? Did Negreanu's $8m Big One for One Drop runner-up push him to the top?

No doubt both are icons in the game but the people have spoken for 2014 and they say DNegs has won their hearts.

2) Win a $27 TCOOP Ticket Just By Picking a Name

Want a shot at a free $27 ticket to the massive, upcoming $15m Turbo Championship of Online Poker on PokerStars?

Simple as picking a name out of a list (and getting picked at random):

Our suggestion? Jake Cody. Got a feeling about him this time. New dads have focus.

3) Garzón, Michels, Fernstrom Live Out PCA Dreams

It never gets old to hear stories of average, everyday poker players getting shots at big, life-changing events for next to nothing.

The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in particular is one of those events where hundreds of online qualifiers get a once-in-a-lifetime experience rubbing shoulders with the pros and, if things go well, returning witha huge return on their investment.

This year players from around the world are again living out poker dream sat the PCA thanks to qualifying runs that brought them to the Bahamas on more or less pennies.

Laura "candylaustar" Garzón needed just 6 FPPs (!) to get her spot in the $10m PCA Main Event through the FPP Mega-Path series. Even better, she only had 7 in her account!

Jeff Michels needed his cat to knock his mouse to realize he was in a PCA freeroll he had forgotten about.

Swedish trucker Ludwig Fernstrom needed $11 to win a snow-and-cleaning escape for him and his girlfriend.

Steps events and satellites can be longshots, yeah. But the reward, in the end, can be life-changing. If you don't play poker for that, what do you play for?
