The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is the animal-style In-N-Out burger, vanilla shake and pack of Tums found in the backseat that soothes your afternoon poker news hangover.

Got a tip for a future edition of the 3-Bet? Let us know about it in the comments.

Today in the 3-Bet we find Jason Somerville sharing the story of his rise up through the poker ranks, Theo Jorgensen sharing a classic Vegas rookie/poker superstition story and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier living out our sushi dreams.

1) Life and Times of JCarver Part 1

Ever wondered what Ultimate Poker pro Jason Somerville's poker story is? It's a good one, and he lays it all out in intricate detail below:

2) Theo Jorgensen: Banking on Mr. 2,2,3

We love the new blog post from PokerStars pro Theo Jorgensen because it touches on two different and hilarious poker world phenomena.

Theo Jorgensen
Starting to think there may be something to this.

Phenomenon one: Everyone thinks they'll show Vegas what's what on their first trip and then basically gets their ass handed to them in various ways.

Vegas is undeniably a world-class foodie town with unlimited things to do. Then the jetlag and booze and Wheel of Fortune slot in your lobby take over and before you know it you've nursed hangovers at Cheesecake Factory four times.

It's happened to the best of us, and it happened to Jorgensen's pal who went with him for the WSOP - whom he dubbed Mr. 2,3,3 for the amount of sleep he got the first three nights in Vegas.

Mr. 2,2,3 also factors into the next phenomenon - not changing things when you're running good. Jorgensen was running hot at EPT Berlin this Spring - with Mr. 2,2,3 along for the rail - but shortly after he left for home Jorgensen was punted from the tournament.

This year's Main Event? Jorgensen was top 20 in chips near the end of Day 3, Mr 2,2,3 left town again and an hour later Jorgensen was done.

Unrelated, of course, right? Read the full post here.

3) ElkY Dreams of Sushi

There are a few reasons to be envious of PokerStars pro Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier - not the least of which is that there was a time in his life he could look like this and not be beaten by his peers.

He's added another one, now - at least for us fans of the recent documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi:

Damn you again, ElkY. Damn you again.
