Daily 3-Bet: JayP-AA Binge, WSOP ESPN Surge, Shark Cage 2

ESPNStage 1
it begins.

The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a slip of paper, a rack of chips and a skip in your heartbeat as you begin the best day of your afternoon poker news day life.

Have a tip for a future 3-Bet? Let us know about it in the comments.

Today in the 3-Bet we find unknown high-stakes crusher JayP-AA on a $1m tear, the road to the WSOP final table begins in earnest and PokerStars' Shark Cage is back.

1) JayP-AA Has $1m 48-Hour Stretch

Unknown high-stakes online reg JayP-AA popped up on the poker scene early in 2011 - coincidentally just before Black Friday - after a runner-up finish in the Sunday Warm-Up dropped over $100k in his bankroll.

Ben Sulsky
Ben Sulsky.

No one expected him to last as his aggressive style led many to believe he'd have a short stay at high stakes.

Fast forward to this past weekend and JayP-AA is very much more than just still around.

He dominated the high-stakes PLO games on PokerStars on Saturday and finished up over $1m over a 48-hour period. That included taking almost $900k from one single session involving both Isildur1 and Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky.

As we all know, of course, PLO variance is extreme and he could very well give most of that back before the sun goes down again. But it's still one of the most impressive runs of 2015.

JayP-AA opted out of long-term tracking earlier this year so it's hard to tell just where his bankroll sits but by the looks of his hsdb graph it's been a very profitable 2015 so far.

More on his huge weekend sessions here.

2) Road to WSOP ME Starts on ESPN2 Tonight (or Tomorrow)

We got a tease of the action with the WSOP National Championship last month but the "real" Road to the WSOP Main Event begins tonight on ESPN2.

Norman Chad, Lon McEachern
Still the greatest.

Norm. Lon. Kara. Antonio. Some random loudmouth who will become our favorite player to hate.

All of it. And, as always, it should be glorious. Especially since we have the epic run of Daniel Negreanu to watch in intimate detail.

Sure, we know how it all works out -- at least until the live final on Nov. 8. But there's no more vicarious thrill for a poker player than watching the march to the final table of poker's most celebrated event. For us, anyway.

Tune in tonight at 8 pm EST to watch it begin. Unless you live in Canada then you'll have to wait until tomorrow at 9 pm on TSN. Sorry, hosers. A reminder of the schedule:

3) Shark Cage Returns in Style for Season 2

Despite some mixed reviews and an at-times confusing format there were enough highlights during Season 1 of PokerStars' Shark Cage - not the least of which was Miss Finland's undressing of Ronnie Bardah - that Season 2 was ordered and filmed earlier this year.

Now ready to air in the UK tonight it looks like the kinks have been ironed out and S2 should see some spectacular moments featuring Negreanu, Don Cheadle, Sergio Garcia, Ronaldo, Maria Ho and Sara Chafak among others. Check the preview below:
