Any suggestions for a future 3-Bet, feel free to drop a note in the comments.
Today in the 3-Bet we find Phil Hellmuth’s rise up the Global Poker Index reaching dangerous heights, godfather of Norwegian poker Thor Hansen refusing to bow to the rigors of chemotherapy and TeamIvey firing up the cameras for its first videos.
1) Hellmuth Hits #5 on GPI; Internet Haters Get Nervous
Well, this isn't looking good for haters hoping to keep Phil Hellmuth’s accolades (and ego) in check.
With Hellmuth’s solid WSOP results from the summer moving into a new ranking period, Phil’s found himself four spots higher on this week’s Global Poker Index -- the de facto ranking system for poker tournament excellence.
Hellmuth hit #5 overall – an all-time high – and with his massive WSOPE set to fall into place soon he could move up to #2 or #3.
God help us all (meaning his Twitter followers) if he hits #1. Also making big moves up the charts this week were Vanessa Selbst, Michael Mizrachi, John Juanda and Joe Cheong.

2) Thor Battles Through Chemo to Play at WPT Prague
Downswings, hangovers, TBS Police Academy marathons… we’ve all found plenty of lazy excuses to skip out on playing poker.
Sixty-five year old Thor Hansen, the Godfather of Norwegian poker, doesn’t even use chemotherapy as an excuse to not get his hands in, whether it's live or online.
Playing on Day 2 of WPT Prague, PokerListings caught up with Hansen for a brief chat and, as always, were amazed by his positivity and his drive to carry on his poker career in the face of illness.
“I’m pretty good right now. I’m a sick man, I have a disease that can’t be treated, but for that I’m feeling pretty well.
“I’ve been on chemo for several months, but it seems I’m taking it very well. It looks like I’m very lucky when it comes to this.
“The problem is that it’s not going to work for a very long time.”

3) Ivey Studios Sees First Action With Antonius, South
We’re still not sure just exactly what’s in store for poker fans at IveyPoker.com but things are definitely moving forward whatever the direction.
A hybrid social gaming/training site in the making, five big-name pros have already been attached as team members including Patrik Antonius, Jennifer Harman, Cole South, James Dempsey and 2012 WSOP Main Event champ Greg Merson.
At least two of them in Antonius and South have already got the video wheels in motion, as you can see in this sneak-peek pic released by Ivey’s Twitter handlers.
It looks like it’ll be good, whatever it is -- especially if we see Cole South ride a hoverboard in those Back to the Future shoes.
No idea what Antonius might do in those loafers though – order in a jacket and pipe? Check the latest news on the site launch at IveyPoker.com.
