1) Hana Soljan Takes Down Ladies Event at EPT Barcelona
Remember the "new face of Croatian poker," Hana Soljan, we introduced you to a few weeks ago?
The stunning new Full Tilt Poker ambassador proved she's got the game to back up the patch with her second career Ladies event win yesterday in Barcelona.
Soljan topped a field of 86 in the €300+€30 event to take home €6,880. It was her second EPT Ladies title after winning the EPT7 event in Prague.
How does she feel about it? Pretty happy, apparently:
2) Jake Cody: Going to Be a Dad
Cody: Get your sleep in now.
Few things will change your life - let alone your poker career -- more than having a kid and PokerStars pro Jake Cody is about to find out just how much.
Cody announced on his new website this weekend that he and his girlfriend will be expecting their first child next May.
"I only found out last week and although it was a huge shock I am now overcome with excitement.... We are 11 weeks and 1 day today, expected around the 23rd May...
Adding to his great year Cody says his results at the felt have also been satisfying, if leaving a bit on the table:
"I made an EPT final table, a WSOP final table, won a UKIPT series event and cashed 4/4 10k events.
"Although a conversion in one of the majors would have been sweet I’m in no position to complain. However its impossible not to look back thinking what could have been."
Congrats to Jake and Alex. Read his full post about it here.
