The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a quick spin around three poker "news" stories of the recent past that deserve a second look.

Any tips or suggestions for a future 3-Bet, feel free to post in the comments.

Today we hit up a new triple video merge from the Micros, a reward up for grabs in the hunt for Duhamel’s November gold and a twisted look back at a twisted 2011.

1) Holiday Micros Triple Video Merge

Inside jokes in the poker world can get pretty tired pretty quick (we're looking at you, poker rap) unless they’re in the right hands.

Luckily the braintrust behind the animated Micros series, John Wray and Jay Rosenkrantz, are the right hands.

As a holiday thank you for their fans they’ve combined a couple of already released clips with eight minutes of new material for an extended holiday video that, as always, hits the right notes.

Best and funniest use of “tits or gtfo” ever is a highlight.

2) The Search for Duhamel's Gold

Jon Duhamel
Up to 10k for tips.

As most of the poker world knows, 2010 WSOP Main Event champ Jonathan Duhamel was the victim of a vicious home invasion last week in Montreal.

Duhamel was threatened, bound and beaten and robbed of his gold championship bracelet, a black Rolex submariner watch and several 500 euro notes.

Fortunately he suffered no serious injuries and has been home recuperating with his family and friends over the holidays.

Unfortunately, he’s still without his gold bracelet, watch and cash.

To help further the process of getting his stuff back, Duhamel put up a $10k reward last week for information leading to the retrieval of his property and the arrest of the suspects.

As of today, the offer still stands and anyone with information is asked to notify the Longueuil Police Department.

Details on the reward payout and an online form to submit tips to the police can be found here.

3) Feast of Tao

Annual “Year in Review” series are a true mixed bag.

On the one hand, it’s nice to be reminded of a few cool things that happened early in the year (eg Erik Seidel making eleventy million dollars in about 4 tournaments).

On the other hand, it can be a pretty perfunctory rehash of expected stories (eg Black Friday, Phil Hellmuth) and not necessarily worth re-living in its entirety.

Dr Pauly LOW2
Get a year-end fix from Pauly.

In the right hands, though, it can be a really sharp and illuminating view on what “really” happened in poker in 2011.

In the world of poker blogging there are few better than Dr. Pauly McGuire, so in lieu of a generic rehash of the best and worst stories of the year we recommend a cruise through the year Pauly-style on Tao of Poker.

Read his epic look back at 2011 here.

Stay tuned for a few one-off looks back at 2011 here later in the week though.

Bonus Four-Bet: Two More Stars World Records

As a fitting wrap to another record-breaking year on PokerStars two members of Team PokerStars Online also now have (or will have) world records attached to their names.

First, newly minted Team Online pro Bjorn Schneider finished off 2011 with a new VPP record of 3,058,659.92, which is truly astounding.

Second, Randy “nanonoko” Lew will try and follow that up with a world record of his own at the upcoming PCA.

He's settled on most hands played in either 6 or 12 hours.
