The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a surprising simple knock, knock joke where the punchline is always mid-afternoon poker news.

You can shoot suggestions for future 3-Bet pieces into the comments section below.

In today’s Daily 3-Bet we’ll take a look at Donger Kim and Isildur1 SCOOPing, a bizarre Scotty Nguyen story and quads vs. a Royal Flush in one of the most epic WSOP hands ever televised.

1) Donger Kim Wins HU SCOOP, Isildur1 Stacked in Main Event

The PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker is nearly complete but we’re going to have some massive scores before the final hand is dealt.

First off, Donger Kim (a member of the recent four-man squad that took down poker A.I. Claudico) beat Andrew Lichtenberger heads-up in the $21k High Roller Heads-Up Event to win $236k. Kim’s Claudico-beating teammate Doug Polk finished in fifth place for $42k.

The biggest SCOOP events by far, however, were the massive two-day Main Events. All three are still running but at the time this article was published Isildur1 was second in chips in the $10k buy-in “High” edition with 630,000.

There’s a total of $1.3 million for first-place in that event so even Isildur1 is likely sweating a little bit. Interestingly Isildur1 actually won the same event in 2003.

It also appears that Jason Mercier is going to win the overall POY for this year’s SCOOP but we’ll know for sure by tomorrow.

2) The Weirdest Scotty Nguyen Story Ever

Phil Galfond may have noticed the most Scotty Nguyen thing ever yesterday.

Galfond was apparently doing a little Nguyen research and stumbled across this gem of a story.

They should award a WSOP bracelet to the person that understands what’s going on in this series of Tweets from the Prince of Poker.

3) WSOP Throwback: Phillips Goes Royal Flush > Quad Aces

Sometimes you don’t need any star power to generate one of the most-watched poker videos.

Instead you just need a tank-top wearing Justin Phillips, quad aces, a royal flush and a stunned opponent. OK, it helps if Ray Romano is there to spectate.
