Daily 3-Bet: DNegs Crash, ElkY Plunge, Sin City Rules
The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a red-wine-and-potato-chip bender that ends up in an embarrassing topless clip on an afternoon poker news gone wild DVD.
Any suggestions for a future 3-Bet, feel free to drop a note in the comments.
Today in the 3-Bet we find Daniel Negreanu and friends crashing the WPT daily video show in Jacksonville, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier flailing his way into the world's highest bungee jump and Jennifer Harman's new reality series looking, well, a little batty.
1) Negreanu, Waxman, Gross Crash WPT Video
There's a lot of things to love about poker but one of the best is rubbing shoulders with the big wigs.
You'll likely never play a round with Tiger Woods but if you play a major poker tournament - or even a fairly small one in say Jacksonville, Florida - there's a good chance you'll meet and play a few hands with your favorite poker pro. Or, maybe, go on a red-wine-and-potato-chip bender with him.
PokerStars pro Daniel Negreanu made a surprise appearance at WPT Jacksonville this week and, despite busting four bullets, still seems to have had a good time. So good, in fact, he ended up crashing the WPT daily show with pals Matt Waxman and Jeff Gross.
Not so sure on the wine-and-chip combo (that's gross, Waxman) but we're pretty sure we work in the best, most-fun industry in the world:
2) ElkY Windmills Into Highest Bungeee Jump in the World
More cool things about the poker life? Seeing the world, making a lot of money, hanging out with pals and crazy prop bets that push you to do things you otherwise might not try.
PokerStars pro Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier is maybe the epitome of living the poker life to the fullest as he rarely misses an opportunity to make the most of his chosen career.
His latest risk-taking venture? Taking the highest bungee jump in the world off the Macau Tower. No style points for that takeoff, but vive l'ElkY:
3) Harman Reality Show Sin City Rules Premiers Sunday
Remember that "Vegas Power Women" reality show we mentioned a while back? Seems like it's now been officially titled Sin City Rules and is set to debut this Sunday on TLC.
How does it look? In a word: batty. And Harman definitely looks like the odd-woman out in this as she seems to be the only mentally stable one.
Her soundbite: "The most I've lost? Half a million." The next soundbite? "If I want a monkey, I get a monkey." Good luck, Jen:
I have a monkey. Now what do i get?
Bigger rush: bungee jumping or getting kicked in the face by Lex Veldhuis?
Weird choice to include Jen Harman in what's basically Real Housewives of Las Vegas. She does not look comfortable in that promo. Not sure who from the poker world would fit best ...
If I want a monkey, I get a monkey
