Daily 3-Bet: Anatoly = party, #SocialExperiment, Eyes Wide Phil

Filatov has arrived.

The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a mysterious mansion, a double password and a red-cloaked MC escorting you to unseen afternoon poker news delights.

Have a recommendation for a future 3-Bet blurb? Let us know in the comments.

Today in the 3-Bet we find a Russian superstar added to team partypoker, a 'revolutionary' tournament concept and Phil Hellmuth masquerades all night.

1) Filatov Joins partypoker Pro

Team Captain of the Global Poker League's Moscow Wolverines. Member of Team Russia in the Global Poker Masters World Cup. $3.5m+ winner in live and online poker. Winner of the 2015 PokerListings Most Inspiring Player award.

Always a one-man party.

The poker accolades have been sure and steady for Russia's Anatoly Filatov over the course of his career and now he can add one more to that impressive list:

Official member of Team partypoker Pro.

While we've been on Team Filatov for years the poker world has now caught up as partypoker announced today Filatov has joined its pro team alongside Sam Trickett, Mike Sexton and Natalia Breviglieri.

As we found out during the MIP voting process Filatov is by far one of the most popular players to come out of the burgeoning Russian poker scene and there's no doubt he'll help push the partypoker Live and online scene to new heights.

As we've seen from his exploits in Sochi and on his Vlog, he's got more than enough personality to go around and they couldn't have picked a more talented or entertaining player.

Congrats to Anatoly! Come share the joy again at the Battle of Malta this year, too.

2) No Phones, No Hoods, No Sunglasses

Think poker is fundamentally a social game that's been ruined by smartphones, sunglasses, hoodies and headphones over the past decade?

Famed poker TD Matt Savage has the tournament for you, then, coming up during the Cal State Poker Championships at the Commerce Casino in LA:

Dubbed #TheSocialExperiment, responses have generally been positive over social media - aside from a few concerns about 'being cold.'

Thankfully scarves are allowed, though. And at least one prominent member of the tournament circuit world is all for it, too:

Sounds like fun. More info from Savage via Twitter here.

3) Hellmuth Gets Tipsy, Reminisces in Study

As we've learned from Stanley Kubrick and Tom Cruise, some all-night masquerade parties begin and end with magic, orgiastic rituals and perpetual nightmares.

Some, though, like the one Phil Hellmuth threw at his house the other night, end up with you smoking a cigar alone in your study with face paint on, Eagles blasting, looking at your old poker memorabilia.

Such is life. Truthfully, we'd take either. As long as it's not wolfing down a Subway BMT and punting $1 Spin & Gos while the sun comes up.
