Daily 3-Bet: $1.4m Bubble, Grind with ManU, Costanza > Mustard

Jason Alexander: #1 in our poker hearts

The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a quieter mic, a smaller piece of stage but a raging guitar line that says you'll never be an afternoon poker news second banana.

Got a tip for a future 3-Bet? Let us know in the comments.

Today in the 3-Bet we find a new $500k Super High Roller coming this summer, a chance to bend some cards with Manchester United fans and poker-playing Jason Alexander closes in on title of Best Second Banana.

1) Aria $500,000 Super High Roller This Summer

Details are still a bit scarce about this one but it seems an eye-popping $500,000 Super High Roller event will run at the Aria in Las Vegas this summer parallel to the WSOP.

Hosted by Cary Katz, apparently, it'll be the biggest buy-in event of the year with the $1m Big One for One Drop on hiatus until 2016.

Macau High Roller regular Tom Hall will be in the mix, having posted he's already got his invite:

Hall, you might remember, was the unfortunate bubble boy of the 2014 Big One as he busted in ninth to eventual runner-up Daniel Negreanu:

Technically it was a $1.3m bubble, but who are we to quibble? Still has to be painful, no matter your bankroll.

2) Play Poker, Slots with Wayne Rooney and Fans

You might find ManU diehard Sam Trickett, too.

Care for a flutter with some football heros?

Now you can as iconic football club Manchester United has launched its own social poker and casino app (in partnership with Kama Games) for ManU fans worldwide.

Yes, it's only play money. And yes, you're more likely to play against a fellow ManU fan than a footballer -- although Rooney, Jonny Evans and Rafael were on hand at the launch to dabble in a few games.

Still: very cool to see a major sports franchise embrace the poker/casino world rather than eschew it for PC reasons. You can also win Manchester United prizes, tickets, memorabilia, trips and access to special events, whcih is sweet.

You can find Manchester United Social Poker online, on Facebook or you can download to your phone. More info here.

3) Alexander Barrels Into Second Banana Final 8

Would George Costanza make a good poker player? Hell no, alter ego and poker lover Jason Alexander told us at the 2015 PCA.

Jason Alexander
Never #2 on the felt.

Is he the greatest Second Banana of All-Time? There's a very good case for it, and he's proving it in each round of the "Who is the Top Second Banana" bracket over on Grantland.com.

In the voting to decide the greatest second fiddle Costanza has rolled past Marty Jannety (of Wrestling's The Rockers), the legendary Art Garfunkel (huge wow) and close-to-his-heart condiment, mustard, to make it to Round 4.

Next up for George? The seemingly unbeatable Luigi of Mario Bros. fame. Also still in contention: Spock, Garth Algar, Scottie Pippen, Apollo Creed, Canada and Keith Richards.

Elite company, indeed. Head here to vote for own of poker's adopted sons. Full bracket below:
