Shareholders in Internet gaming software provider Crytoplogic, Inc., have approved the company's move to Dublin, Ireland, with designs on corporate headquarters being operational June 1.
At a special meeting held last week in Toronto, where the company is currently based, 99.25% approved a plan to reconstitute CryptoLogic, Inc. into an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of CryptoLogic Limited, a company incorporated in Guernsey with corporate headquarters in Dublin.
Implementation is still subject to final approval from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice at a hearing Tuesday, but if approved, Cryptologic expects the new digs to be ready to go by the first of June.
"CryptoLogic's plan to establish a new corporate headquarters in Europe is about investing for our future, and charting a course for growth in both Europe and Asia," said Javaid Aziz, CryptoLogic's recently appointed President and CEO.
"By approving our new corporate headquarters, shareholders are clearly on board with our plan to grow CryptoLogic through geographic expansion and diversification in the industry's most attractive markets. I thank them for their confidence in our vision, our strategy and our team."
The plan had been announced last year with the intention of moving CryptoLogic closer to its business customers and their principal markets, and to facilitate expansion into Asia.
