Concrete Software offers Hold'em on the run

By: Erin Warner

It's Texas Hold'em to go. The booming card game is everywhere these days and, thanks to Concrete Software, poker is now available on cell phones.

The company is one of several to create a portable online mobile poker game, with its product Multiplayer Aces Texas Hold'em.

The game allows poker fans to connect and play poker online at bus stops, in restaurants and waiting rooms - provided you have cell service.

Multiplayer Aces Texas Hold'em uses Global Positioning System technology to find players in the same region as the mobile phone gamer. These players can belly up to the virtual felt, and communicate through live chat.

Tables vary in both players and blinds, and the system keeps track of high scores. It also provides the player with statistical analysis of his game.

Other companies, including ESPN and Harrah's have also introduced similar products recently.
