Commerce Casino released a diverse satellite schedule for the 2010 WPT L.A. Poker Classic today, giving players plenty of ways to qualify for California’s biggest poker tournament.

The 2010 LAPC is set to be the biggest ever with 51 events from Jan. 21-March 4. That’s up from the 35 events that rounded out the series in 2009.

The casino will start running single table satellites for the $10,000 main event on Jan. 15, giving players ample time to qualify before the tournament starts on Feb. 26.

Opening satellites will feature $40 buy-ins with winners moving on to the higher stages, eventually reaching the $1,000 level, which guarantees a seat in the LAPC Championship.

Meanwhile Supersatellites at Commerce will run Jan. 20-Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. every night with $225 buy-ins and $200 rebuys. Seats at the main event and WPT Celebrity Invitational are guaranteed to the winner of each Supersatellite.

Commerce will also run three Megasatellites on Feb. 23-25 with a $1,050 buy-in. More than 100 seats to the LAPC Championship were awarded last year through satellite play.

Similar Megasatellites will be conducted earlier in the LAPC schedule that will feed into the other notable events like the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E., the $10,000 heads-up championship or the $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em tournament.

New for the 2010 LAPC is the Feb. 21 Ironman Turbo Megasatellite, which gives players a chance to qualify for the unique $2,100 buy-in marathon Ironman No-Limit Hold’em event that was introduced last year.

The 2010 LAPC is set to be Commerce Casino’s biggest series ever with a total estimated prize pool of $20 million and $3.3 million in guarantees.

Last year Cornel Andrew Cimpan outlasted 695 players and beat a final table that included Chris “Jesus” Ferguson and Mike Sowers to win $1.6 million and the LAPC title.
