Defeating a star-studded final table line-up, PokerStars Qualifier Julian Cohen took down the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour Queenstown title Sunday.

Coming off a runner-up finish in the Red Dragon main event at the Macau Poker Cup, Team PokerStars Asia Pro Bryan Huang found himself at the final table joined by the likes of ANZPT Canberra champ Jason Gray and the man he beat heads-up there, John Maklouf, making his third-consecutive ANZPT final table.

But despite their impressive resumes, none could match wits with Melbourne's Cohen, who took the title after defeating Andrew Watson from Woolongong, Australia heads-up.

Cohen banked AUD$73,630 for the win.

In the meantime, Maklouf finished 8th, tightening the ANZPT Player of the Year Championship race.

He now sits only 10 points behind leader Tony Hachem, and with Andrew Scarf moving only 17 points behind, as well as both Vesko Zmukic and Michael Spilkin pushing up the rankings, it is sure to be a tight finish.

Next up for the ANZPT is a stop in Gold Coast a little over two weeks from now.
