Another twelve hours of poker is in the books from EPT San Remo with Joseph Cheong and Vanessa Selbst heading an elite pack going into Day 3.

The 487 returning players powered through a full seven levels on Day 2 today, losing well over 300 runners and finishing with just 144 still in the hunt.

2010 WSOP November Niner Cheong sits at the very top of the heap with 632k chips after an impressive day on the felt that included several massive pots going in his favor.

Close behind him and sitting sixth in chips with 497,000 is PokerStars pro and tournament ruler Vanessa Selbst.

Selbst stacked several players over the course of the day and wrapped up the night with a huge double up against Salman Behbehani to move into the lead group.

Rounding out the rest of the top six in chips after Day 2 are Australian Daniel Neilsen (584k), Mustapha Kanit (577k), Swedish pro William Thorson (508k) and Sergey Tikhonov (504k).

Also having big days and lingering just outside the top 10 in the chip counts are 2011 WSOPE Main Event champ Elio Fox (346k), Lex Veldhuis (341k), Hendon Mobster Barny Boatman (300k), Johnny Lodden (287k), Kevin MacPhee (283k) and Mike "Timex" McDonald (265k).

With just the 144 players returning for Day 3 in San Remo tomorrow only a few will end up missing the money as it starts at 128 players left.
