Chance Kornuth, Kevin Schulz Lead Final Six at PCA Main Event

Everything coming up Kornuth at PCA.

Just six players remain to play for the $1.5m PokerStars Caribbean Adventure main event title led by Americans Chance Kornuth and Kevin Schulz.

Kornuth, an experienced live and online grinder who won a WSOP bracelet in 2010, has been in or near the chip lead for seemingly the whole tournament and will start the final table in exactly that spot.

After another succesful day grinding the feature table, Kornuth bagged up 7,860,000.

He'll have only five more players to knock off on his road to the title, too, after an extended day of play today brought the field down to just six instead of the usual eight.

Schulz Second, Buddiga Out

Pratyush Buddiga
Rough end for Buddiga.

Joining Kornuth at the "final" final table tomorrow will be American Kevin Schulz, who's also spent his share of time on the feature table the past two days.

Schulz won three big all ins late in the day to draw close to Kornuth at 6,155,000, busting Pratyush Buddiga and Dylan Linde in quick succession.

Buddiga, who held the chip lead at one point on Day 5 and was dominating, saw his stack drop quickly from second in the final eight to out in seventh.

Buddiga earned $203,420 for his official final-table finish while Linde took $140,900. Canadian Shyam Srinivasan, who final-tabled this event last year, almost made it back-to-back before busting in 10th.

A quartet of ambitious players will happily occupy the other four seats in the final six tomorrow in Buddiga and Linde's stead.

Peruvian Diego Ventura, who plays out of Hungary, is in third with 3,980,000. German Niklas Hambitzer, Argentinian Juan Martin Pastor and former MMA fighter Rami Boukai round things out.

The full final six and chip counts:

  • 1 Chance Kornuth 7,860,000
  • 2 Kevin Schulz 6,155,000
  • 3 Diego Ventura 3,980,000
  • 4 Niklas Hambitzer 3,100,000
  • 5 Juan Martin Pastor 2,655,000
  • 6 Rami Boukai 780,000

Play picks up again tomorrow at 1 pm ET with a delayed cards-up broadcast starting shortly after on the live stream right here.
